Far Rockaway FLOODED : Hurricane Irene

Pics from my hometown “Far Rockaway”, a beach community in Queens NY. Despite the storm’s downgraded status to Cat. 1, TRUST ME people…the damage that Irene caused is pretty significant. After 21 deaths, massive power outages and record amounts or water on the ground, thank God its over.
I asked my mom to take my comic book collection with her when she evacuated. Those books mean the WORLD to me!

Royal Wedding : Horse FAIL

Leaving Westminster Abbey today, a horse lost control, fell and knocked his rider off this morning during the procession after the Royal Wedding. No injuries have been documented.
Hopefully both stallion and rider are ok! The rider has 1 complaint however…he’s reported that he’s a bit…hoarse.
